Instructions
- 1Get comfortable and lie down. Grab a pillow and get physically relaxed.
- 2Calm down. The body needs to become completely relaxed. Clear the mind and all stress, erasing all thoughts of anything.
- 3Lie still and without thought for some time with eyes closed. The body needs to shut down physically and be given the permission to completely rest.
- 4After being completely relaxed and you are still feeling awake, try reading a book. Many people feel that a little concentration on something simple to intensely focus the eyes helps them sleep, which is why hypnotism works so well. Fine print without pictures helps the brain get focused and exhausted to fall asleep.
- 5When all else fails, seek professional help. A doctor can assess why the brain is not resting as it should and help to correct the problem. If being completely relaxed in silence for thirty minutes does not work, it could be a medical issue or at least something a professional can help with.
